Is it time?

When it’s time to expect more from your insurance broker

As a business grows, insurance decisions get more complicated. You may be preparing for a significant renewal, taking on larger contracts, adding vehicles or new operations — or wondering whether your current program still reflects the business you run today.

Perhaps your broker hasn’t explained important coverage differences, or helped with contract and lender insurance requirements that keep getting more demanding. That is where an experienced commercial insurance brokerage relationship can make a real difference: we focus on the details that matter, not just the price on a proposal.

Approaching a significant renewal with time to prepare the submission properly
Taking on larger contracts with written insurance requirements
Growing past a first contractor program as revenue, payroll and projects scale
Adding vehicles and drivers or running a trucking operation
Expanding into another state — Arizona, Nevada, Texas or Utah

Our approach

Independent market access, knowledgeable representation

There is more to commercial insurance than comparing premiums. We start by understanding your operations, then review exposures and written insurance requirements, prepare accurate underwriting information, and evaluate appropriate options through the carriers and programs available to your business.

When proposals come back, we compare more than the price — limits, coverage terms, exclusions, deductibles, endorsements and conditions — so you can make a well-informed decision.

01

Document operations and exposures

02

Identify contract, lender and regulatory requirements

03

Approach markets that fit the risk

04

Compare terms, exclusions and endorsements

05

Confirm open items before binding

Specialties

Specialized in the businesses that build and move California

We focus on commercial accounts where operational knowledge and professional coverage guidance matter most — construction first, and the industries that work alongside it.

We are especially well suited to established and growing businesses doing roughly $2 million or more in annual revenue, with several insurance needs or increasingly complex contract requirements. See every industry we insure.

Where we are licensed

Five states, one Folsom brokerage

Gleason Insurance Brokers is licensed in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Utah, and led by Principal David Gleason, whose background in the construction industry dates to 2000. California is our deepest market, but a business expanding into Phoenix, Las Vegas, the Texas Triangle or the Wasatch Front does not need a second broker to do it.

Licensing is what lets a broker place coverage in a state. It is not the same as a carrier being willing to write a particular risk there, which depends on the operation, the loss history and that carrier’s appetite at the time.

Common questions

Questions business owners ask before they call

Straight answers about how this brokerage works. Coverage-specific questions live on each coverage page.

Is Gleason Insurance Brokers an independent broker, or tied to one insurance company?

Independent. We are a licensed brokerage rather than a captive agent for a single company, so a submission can be taken to several markets instead of being limited to one carrier’s terms. Which markets actually fit depends on the operation, the loss history and each carrier’s appetite at the time.

Which states is Gleason Insurance Brokers licensed in?

California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and Utah — CA 0K70385, AZ 3003128611, NV 4013740, TX 3174524 and UT 1032803. Coverage is placed for businesses operating in those states; where a project crosses a state line, the licensing position is worth confirming before the submission goes out.

Do you work with businesses under $2 million in annual revenue?

Our practice is built around established and growing businesses, and the accounts we are best suited for are often around $2 million or more in annual revenue. If your business is smaller but carries real complexity — written contract requirements, vehicles, several coverage lines — call us. We will tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.

Which industries do you serve besides construction?

Construction is our deepest focus. We also place commercial insurance for trucking and transportation, developers and subdividers, building material suppliers, equipment rental companies and dealers, architecture and engineering firms, restaurants and breweries, and data centers, plus cyber liability across those industries.

What do you actually need from me to start a quote?

The operations, the deadline and any written insurance requirements — a contract exhibit, a lease clause, a lender or landlord requirement. Those three together are usually enough to begin. Loss runs, a driver list or a vehicle schedule can follow while the submission is already moving rather than holding it up.

How long does a commercial insurance quote take?

It depends on how complete the submission is, the scope of the work, and carrier appetite at the time — which is why there is no single honest number. Telling us the deadline when you first make contact is the thing that most reliably speeds it up, because the submission can then be prioritized and sequenced around it.

Can I check what a contract requires before I request a quote?

Yes. The Coverage Align Tool reads a requirements document — a contract exhibit, lease, lender or vendor requirement — and lists the insurance terms it recognizes. The file itself is opened by your own browser and is never uploaded; only the extracted text is checked against our list of recognized terms. It is educational, not a coverage determination.
